David Stone was born and raised in the Chambersburg region. He has practiced law in Franklin County and surrounding areas since 1985, bringing over four decades of experience to his clients. His practice emphasizes business and commercial law (entity formation, contracts, mergers/acquisitions, employment matters, business disputes), civil litigation and appeals (collections, administrative proceedings), real estate and property law (transactions, leases, easements, adverse possession, trespass, landlord-tenant issues), and estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate.

Before co-founding Kane, Wilburn & Stone as a partner, David served as a principal at Harrington & Kane for six years. Prior to that, he was a key partner and managing principal at Ellison, Carver & Stone for over 20 years.

David holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. He began his career in business consulting before transitioning to law. He has served on local planning and community boards for many years, including long-term involvement with regional planning commissions and board roles with youth and health organizations in Franklin County.

David is married with two grown children and remains actively involved in civic life in the Chambersburg area.
